GROOMING DAY INSTRUCTIONS
DROP OFF/ARRIVAL PROCEDURE:

Please arrive as close to your drop off time as possible. We work on an appointment based schedule, and drop off times are scheduled accordingly. We cannot accommodate your dog more than 30 minutes before their scheduled drop off time unless you've scheduled our Daycare option.

TEXT 337-339-3283 when you arrive, and one of us will meet you and your dog at your vehicle. We will walk your dog(s) from your vehicle to the salon.

Please remain at your vehicle to avoid walking on our property with your dog, for liability purposes.

PICK UP PROCEDURE:

We will text you when we're finished with your dog's groom and let you know what your total is.

When you arrive for pickup, please send us a text 337-339-3283 to let us know. We'll bring your dog to your vehicle when you arrive.

Please do not arrive before we text you, assuming your dog is finished. This causes traffic issues for those coming and going.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:

Make sure your dog does not have any matting before bringing him/her to their appointment to avoid extra fees.

​Make sure your dog uses the bathroom BEFORE they leave their home for their appointment in order to avoid accidents in the salon.

Your dog must be up to date on immunizations within the last two years.

Make sure your dog is on flea prevention, especially during the summer. If your dog is infested with fleas, we will have to remove them during their bath and blow dry, resulting in an extra fee.
NO SHOW/CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel or reschedule your dog's appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours ahead of time to give us enough time to plan for another client.

A same day or last minute cancellation or rescheduling will result in a cancellation fee (30% service charge). Please plan ahead if you cannot bring your dog(s) for their appointments.

If your dog does not show when scheduled and we have to cancel your appointment, you will be charged FULL PRICE.

Please communicate ahead of time if you have to drop off later than originally planned, as we sometimes are able to move another client up and work your dog in later in the day.
CHANGE OF SERVICE:
A change of service from fullgroom to cleanup must be communicated at least 24 hours ahead of time or you will be subject to a fullgroom price.
If you are booked for a fullgroom, we block off more time, which limits the services we are able to book for the rest of the day. Please be considerate of the opportunity cost involved when booking a service.
RE-BATHING FEE
If your dog has an accident while in our care and requires another bath and blow dry, you will be subject to a rebathing fee depending on their size and the amount of time it takes us to clean them up again.
We do not charge a fee if your dog has a normal accident in the salon if we do not need to re-bathe.

TIME CONTRAINTS
We try to have each dog here no more than 3-5 hours after the scheduled drop off time. We don't like to rush because it causes stress for the groomer and the dog, and some dogs need to take breaks due to anxiety. If you have a time constraint and need your dog finished by a specific time, please let us know and we’ll do our best to work with you.
Please reschedule your appointment if your dog:

is showing signs of being sick
-
is in heat
DAYCARE
If your dog must stay all day (8 hours or more) due to your work schedule, you must schedule our Workday Daycare option. This allows you to drop off anytime after 7:30 and pickup anytime before 6pm on your dog's grooming day for an extra $15 per dog. Just book an appointment like normal and text us that you'd like the daycare option included.
PICKUP TIMES
All dogs must be picked up within 1 hour after their groom(s) are finished, AND before 6pm. There will be a $10/hour fee if they're here longer than their complimentary hour, unless you've scheduled our Daycare option.
PAYMENT
When we’re finishing up with your dog, we’ll send a text stating that we’re almost finished and let you know how much it’ll be. We take venmo (@howlingoaks), cash, or check for payment. If you choose to pay by check, you can make it out to Howling Oaks, LLC. A $5 late fee will be added to your total if not paid by end of everyday late.
